Simply Country Barn Celebration For Blake & Maria

Blake & Maria celebrated at The Simply Country Barn in Freedom with catering from Van Abels in Hollantown on October 12, 2018. The day kicked off with their ceremony in the Barn at 1:00 pm followed by an all afternoon of cocktails across the street at Maria's parent's house. Sound Sensations Entertainment provided the ceremony sound and additional system for cocktails across the street. We worked with Eric Johnson from Let It Rain Studios in Green Bay, who also provided most of the pictures in this post.

At 5:00 pm, guests returned to the barn for the dinner & reception. Dinner & cocktail music was a wide variety of Maria & Blake's eclectic music mix!

The reception kicked off before with introductions of the entire bridal party to ESPN's Jock Jam, it really got the room revved up and excited for the rest of the night.

You could tell Maria & Blake were having a fantastic time as the guests were involved and engaged the entire night on the dance floor and in the photo booth from beginning to end!

Guests were released to the buffet catered by Van Abel's in Holland, with fun wedding trivia about Blake & Maria. It really got the guests involved and engaged from the very beginning! So much fun, and a great way for the guests to learn more about Blake & Maria!

These two were so wonderful to work with from the beginning of the process to the end. They were open to creative ideas, and really wanted their guests to laugh, have fun, and be engaged from beginning to end. A great recipe for a night of fun!

Following dinner, guests were ushered to the back of the room for the reception dancing which kicked off with a fun scavenger hunt with the bridal party, which had plenty of laughs, giggles, and FUN!

Blake & Maria danced their first song to "Never Meant to Love You" by Corey Chisel. They picked the song because the song really described them as they were best friends and never thought they would fall in love let alone be getting married. They always thought they were never meant to love each other as more than friends. Following their first dance, Maria danced with her dad to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. Her dad picked the song because it struck a cord with him, as Maria is his little girl and always will be. Blake danced with his mom to "I'll Never Let You Go" by Jessica Allossery. Blake & his mom felt the lyrics were perfect and sent the message they could never put into words.

Sometimes as a wedding DJ, I get concerned when couples pick every song for the night, but that was not the case with Blake & Maria, they chose all of the music, knew their guests well, and the dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT!

We closed out the night with "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake, and could've continued to play long after midnight as we still had a ton of guests celebrating with them until the very end!
