25 Fun Dinner Time Kissing Activities

Each week we sit down with couples at their final planning meeting and are constantly asked over and over as to what are some great alternatives to guests clinking glass at a wedding in Wisconsin. Couples are looking to be different. The more fun, and engaging you can be with your guests, the more your guests will remember your day, and be involved and engaged! It's all about building energy from the beginning.

1. Create “I love you because cards...”​ - As a way for guests to interact with and share a heartfelt message to be read
for you to kiss. These messages can be added to a time capsule or scrapbook for review later and years to come!

2. Kissing Couples Drawing/Mirror a Kiss- Instead of guests clicking glasses to signal that they want you to kiss,
provide your DJ with a list of several other couples at the reception (married, engaged, and dating) who will be in
attendance. Then periodically throughout dinner, if a glass clink is heard, your DJ will randomly pick a couple of off
the list provided, who will be asked to stand up to kiss, and in return you will do the same.

3. Get To Know The Guests- ​ Similar to the “Mirror a Kiss” activity, before a couple models a kiss for you, have them
share with a microphone in hand, 30 seconds or so of how they know you and became friends/family.

4. Sing a Song With “Love” in It​- Creatively engage your guests by encouraging them to stand up and sing a song that contains the word “love” somewhere in the lyrics. Guests can sing with a group, or by themselves. This is a great way to get tables involved.

5. Philanthropy Kiss​- Have you, a member of your family, or someone close to you experienced an illness. Why not
raise money for their organization and kiss at the same time. Have your DJ make an announcement that you will be
kissing for charity, and every dollar added to the “fish bowl” on the head table, will be donated to the charity of your
choice. We did one wedding where the guests raised more than $400 for the American Cancer Society.

6. Scavenger Hunt Kiss​- Have your DJ help you develop a short scavenger hunt during dinner, every time an item is
found and brought to the head table, the bride/groom will kiss. It’s creative, fun, and engaging for all of the guests!

7. Kissing Trivia​- Focus the attention up front, by the head table. Guests come up to the head table where they will
be asked a multiple-choice trivia question, if they get the question right, you need to kiss. Types of trivia examples –
Bride/Groom Trivia, Packers Trivia, Brewers Trivia, Movie Trivia, 80’s Trivia, and more...
8. Bridal Party Judges​- Get your bridal party involved in the kissing game, by giving each of them or the Best Man/Maid
of Honor a dry erase board, then as glasses clink, and you kiss, they need to judge the kiss on a scale of 1-10, your
guests will be entertained all through dinner!

9. Words of Wisdom/Advice​- Ask guests to come up to the head table and share words of wisdom or advice for a
happy marriage.

10. Hula Hoop For a Kiss-​ Set up some hula hoops and make couples hula hoop for a kiss.

11. Use bells instead of glasses- Instead of the dreaded glass clinking, have your guests ring bells instead.

12. Human Pyramid-​ ​THIS ONE, NO ONE WILL EVER FORGET! ​ Have guests around the table work together in creating
the perfect pyramid for you to plant one on each other. Memorable, unique, and an interactive event that nobody will
ever forget!

13. Balloons - Have a long string or bunch of balloons at the head table, guests choose one and the guest needs to
complete the command/task inside the balloon or whatever is written on the balloon if you don’t want to pop it.

14. Share Your Favorite Memory or Story​- Similar to the Words of Wisdom/Advice, ask guests to come up to the
head table and share their favorite memory or story of the bride/groom. As an added twist, have your DJ digitally
record their stories and memories. You will have a keepsake of memories on audio forever to cherish! Are you

15. Putt for a kiss-​ This is for the golf enthusiasts. What you'll need is a small putting green and if one of your guests
puts a hole-in-one then the couple will kiss. If they don't get it in the hole, the bridal couple draws a name from a
bowl (which contains the name of many other couples at the reception) and that couple has to stand and kiss. You'll
need your DJ to help assist with the game and perhaps select certain people to participate in the game
(grandparents, parents, wedding party etc..)

16. Kiss once and be done with it- ​Have your DJ make an announcement that you will kiss once, and no glass clinking

17. Spin a Wheel- ​ Spin a wheel at the head table, and whatever the wheel lands on, the guest must perform the
command.

18. Share about You-​ Have guests share their favorite stories about your hobbies and interests.

19. Are You Smarter Than The Bridal Party? – ​Create questions to ask your guests and challenge against the bridal
party. Difficulty of the question posed, is based on who is being asked. Great for kissing activity and dinner time
entertainment!

20. Favorite Quotes-​ Are you inspirational? Have some of your favorite quotes on cards at each of the tables, and
when guests want you to kiss, they need to stand up and read the quote.

21. Slam Dunk- Having a sports themed wedding? Set up a foam basketball hoop and have guests shoot a free
throw for you to kiss! – Bring your competitive Style!

22. Kissing Box​- What you’ll need is a shoebox and you’ll want to decorate it and make it festive. You’ll then want
your DJ/Emcee start things off by putting a dollar (or more) into the box. He then hands it to the bride & groom and
they kiss. They then pass the box to whichever couple they want to make kiss next.

23. Trivia Pursuit​- If you think your guests are pretty intelligent, you may want to test them and try this activity. What
you’ll need to do is purchase the game “Trivial Pursuit” and for those who wish for you to kiss will have to come up to
the head table and answer a question in the category of their choice. The harder the question, the better the kiss (if
they get it right of course!).

24. Guess the Decade​- What you'll need to get is six sheets of paper stapled together with big bold decades printed
on each. The first with 1950, the next 1960 and so on until the year 2010. When a table wants the bride and groom
to kiss, they would have to hold up the piece of paper with the decade in which they thought they knew the title and
composer of the songs. The D.J. would then play a part of a song from that decade and the
table would collaboratively decide the song.

25. Kissing Menu- Can’t decide on one? Have a card on each table, with a few choices and let the guests decide!
