Barn Style Celebration For Kevin + Kelsey!

Fox Valley DJs, Zyan Foth with Sound Sensations Entertainment celebrated with Kelsey Pickart and Kevin Yeska this past Saturday at the Yeska Family Farm in Wild Rose. So much love filled the air on Saturday with Kelsey, Kevin and the 250+ guests in attendance with them!

We worked with an amazing team that helped make Kevin & Kelsey’s day come together:

Kevin & Kelsey met in 2010 at UW Madison in Botany 101. They sat on opposite sides of the room and became awkward acquaintances who always seemed to run into each other here and there but never could get on the same page when it came to "hitting it off".

It wasn’t until two years later that the stars finally aligned and fate that brought them together. Kelsey had always thought Kevin was cute. While the saying that opposites attract is definitely true for them, their mutual hobbies and love for the outdoors is the common thread that sews their differences together perfectly. Kevin loves to be working in his garage, making fishing lures, creating barn board crafts, or designing special projects for his fishing sponsors while Kelsey is content to perfect a new dinner recipe, curl up on the couch with the dog, or read a new book for hours on end.

Kevin & Kelsey wanted their cocktail hour to be upbeat and fun, none of those lovey dovey type songs, so we worked together with them to find a perfect blend to surprise their guests with. The afternoon was filled with plenty of classic rock, mixed with some country and a little indie music. Guests were shaking their heads, and bopping their feet, and in many cases singing out the words with their drinks for much of the afternoon and evening.

Both Kevin & Kelsey had all of the intricate details down for a rustic outdoors barn style wedding celebration. Along the outside of the tent were several canoes filled with wine and assorted beers all on ice. Very cool!

The bridal party was introduced into the tent to “The Friends” Theme Song. Guests were engaged throughout the entire dinner with fun multiple choice trivia about Kevin & Kelsey. It was a riot hearing others table blurting out the answers and engaging in all of the fun.

Following dinner, we moved guests out into the open field next to the hay bales for Kevin & Kelsey’s first dance, “Forever Like That” by Ben Folds. The reception dance continued into the barn where we continued with the rest of the feature dances including Kelsey’s dance with her dad where she pre-recorded her playing the piano and singing “House On Pooh Corner” for her dad. Such a special moment.

Kevin’s mom, Carol Ann didn’t really want to do a mother/son dance, so with Kevin’s help, he thought it would be great to surprise her and have one anyway, so with everyone in the room singing along, they danced to “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. This really got everyone in the mood for dancing, and it was no problem getting everyone out onto the dance floor, where Kevin & Kelsey and their guests danced all night long!

The photo booth was a huge hit as well, with so many laughs and smiles all night long and at the end of the night, we gave Kevin & Kelsey the guestbook with everyone’s pictures and messages.
As the night sky moved in, the lanterns in the trees lit up along with some amazing bistro style lighting lit up the huge tree in front of the barn.

Kevin even had a cigar bar about 9:30 pm under the big tree in front of the barn. Wow, what an amazing night!
