How you start your reception part of your celebration will have a direct impact on the end result of what your guests experience. No one wants a boring wedding celebration. Our goal is to ramp and build energy from beginning to end, which is why, here in the upper Midwest, we suggest doing your Grand March or Wedding Party introductions right before dinner. It will set the tone for the rest of the night. Your DJ/MC can help get the party started right with some high energy introductions. The term Grand March is a midwestern term, introducing your wedding party is the same thing. They are one in the same. Some people say Grand March, some say Wedding Party Introductions.

Instead of the traditional introductions to one single song for everyone, feel free to get a little creative with some fun, creative, and engaging ways to build energy for your Introductions/Grand March:

Different Songs for Each Couple- Keep your guests guessing by having the DJ/MC play a different song for each couple, and give each couple their own :30 entrance. Your party will love it, and so will the guests, as it will keep them on the edge of their seats.

Spotlight For newlyweds- Have your DJ introduce members of the party to one song, and then fade to a different song to spotlight the newlyweds.

Sports Line Up Entrance- Are you a big sports fan? Have your DJ/MC introduce everyone like the starting line up at your favorite sporting event.

Biographical Entrance- Your DJ/MC can share a couple of sentences about each of the wedding party members, a few fun tidbits to make it fun, with the music in the background. It can be comical and fun!

Star Wars Light Saber Arch Entrance- Are you Star Wars Fans? Have your wedding party walk into the Star Wars Theme complete with light sabers.

Themed Entrance- Find your favorite hobby, sports, or theme and have your DJ/MC help you create a themed Introduction to your favorite song or songs.

These are just a few of the fun ideas possible. The idea here is to give you some inspiration and creativity for making your introductions fun, a while building energy for the perfect wedding celebration experience. Work with your MC/DJ during your collaboration meeting to find something fun, and unique! The more creative you are with your celebration, the better the results and more memorable it will be!
