Jon + Annas Celebration at The Heidel House

This past weekend, Heidel House Wedding DJs, Sound Sensations Entertainment celebrated with Jon & Anna Sherman at The Heidel House in Green Lake for their wedding ceremony on the Grey Rock lawn, and the reception in the Daycholah room. What a gorgeous day, the sun was shining, temperatures in the upper 60’s, seasonably warm for the first weekend in November. We had a great cast and crew to work with including, Starr Irvin and her team at the Heidel House , and Katie from Katie Guth Photography.

Jon & Anna’s love story has been 9.5 years in the making, and on Saturday in front of about 150 of their family and friends, together they said “I Do” forever.

I enjoyed getting to know Jon & Anna over the last few weeks. One of Jon’s biggest passions and hobby’s is music. His love for music spans many different genres and styles. I also loved that they had open minds to ideas about personalizing their celebration, including a fun “Jon & Anna trivia style” release to the buffet.

Following their afternoon ceremony on the Grey Rock lawn, the cocktail hour kicked off in the Daycholah Room of The Heidel house where we decked the room out with yellow uplighting around the perimeter.

Guests were treated to some amazing cocktail and dinner hour song selections that spanned several genres and musical styles, but fit Jon & Anna quite well, and all of their musical interests.

Some of my other favorite memories through the night included recognizing the longest married couple, Mark & Linda, who have been married 45 years, and gave some marriage advice with, “Always Love” and “Forgiveness.”

Jon & Anna asked their guests to RSVP with some of their favorite requests to be played, which we included in the night with a ton of requests including, Old Time Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Footloose, The Cupid Shuffle, 4 Polka’s, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, Patsy Cline, Danza Kaduro, and whole bunch more. The dance floor was packed most of the night. We closed the night out with Jon & Anna in the middle around a big circle to Piano Man by Billy Joel.
