Wedding Ceremony at Poplar Creek Barn Oshkosh, WI
The ceremony began at 3:00 pm beneath Poplar Creek’s signature Poplar Tree — a dream setting for outdoor weddings in Oshkosh. Guests arrived to instrumental country music featuring Jason Aldean and early 2000s favorites.

Poplar Creek’s outdoor ceremony space continues to be one of the most requested features for couples planning weddings in
Winnebago County and the Fox Valley.
Cocktail Hour & Country Music Vibes
After the heartfelt “I dos,” guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour starting at 3:30 pm. The playlist? A curated country mix featuring Hardy, Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, and newer hits—ideal for the barn’s rustic charm.
Grand Entrance & Dinner Inside the Barn
At 5:45 pm, guests were welcomed into the main barn for dinner. The wedding party made their grand entrance to “Bring Em Out” by T.I., setting an energetic tone for the night.
Following the Grand March wedding Party introductions, guests were released to the buffet with some multiple choice trivia about Christian & Nadine, by their DJ/MC Ed Eaton from Sound Sensations Entertainment, which created a fun, engaging way to kick off the reception.
Speeches, Dessert & Golden Hour Moments
Starting about 6:30 pm, family and friends shared heartfelt toasts, including
Brian, Christian’s Father, and Jack, Nadine’s father, along with Kylie the Maid of Honor and other family members and the wedding party.
At 7:00 pm, guests enjoyed ice cream and cookies, along with table photos at the dessert table with Christian & Nadine, which created more fun and engagement, and a special keepsake moment for the newlyweds.
Just before sunset, Christian and Nadine slipped away for dreamy golden hour portraits around the Poplar Creek property, while Ericka & Dan & the Poplar Creek staff flipped the head table area so the dancing could begin!
First Dances
The reception kicked off in full swing by 8:00 pm. DJ Ed Eaton from Sound Sensations Entertainment curated a mix of slow, sentimental, and high-energy tracks throughout the night.

- Father/Daughter Dance: “My Wish” – Rascal Flatts

Anniversary Dance + Dance Floor Highlights
The Anniversary Dance brought generations together:
- Nadine’s Grandparents Randy & Valerie Kreuscher- 52 Years
- Christian’s Grandparents Jim & Sandy Staerkel – married nearly 50 years
- Christian’s Parents Brian & Annie – 27 years
Followed by a high-energy bouquet toss to “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by ABBA, the dance floor opened at 8:30 pm and never let up.
